More and more companies are looking for cost-effective ways to buy clean energy to meet environmental and financial goals. At the same time, the costs of clean energy – especially solar and wind – are dropping fast, making the purchase of clean energy a financially sound decision in more and more regions. This panel discussion will highlight current trends in the use of clean energy by corporate consumers, especially in the growing data center sector. Panelists will move beyond discussing the “why" companies are buying clean energy and focus instead on implementation by discussing the challenges companies face and how they can get started with clean energy. Panelists will also discuss a remarkable new collaboration involving four major nonprofit organizations and over 30 companies that is driving policy changes and building capacity in the industry to enable more companies to buy clean energy when and where they want it.
